Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Tuesday my trip cancelled due to the all the rain, so I called a friend and we headed over Wilson Lake for a few hours. Wilson is my second favorite lake, but I just don’t get over there like I use to. I think it’s been almost a year since I have fished there but it didn’t take very long to find some fish. The water was a tad high and we fished Heddon Spooks, Xcalibur Zell Pops, Yum Money Minnows and Yum Houdini Shads around points and back of pockets. We landed 12 fish (all largemouths) in a short time and missed just as many. Hopefully the smallmouth fishing this fall will be awesome and I can get back over there to catch a few.
