Subject: Wheeler, Alabama Submitted by FINS -N- GRINS FRESHWATER ADVENTURES
Date Fished: 9/4/2008 Headed out late fishing the upper end of the lake. The winds were nasty but fishing the creeks were ok. Alot of fish were in the back waters but the size was not there for us. We did get on one place the bigger spotted bass were active on some deeper drops. Best numbers baits were Jackall Muscle 7's and working swimbaits near wood. The bait had to hit the wood to get the bite but it was almost a sure bet if you hit it. The deeper bite was all on Crosstail shad(Ayu). I will be back on Guntersville in the morning. I would hope the winds would lay down but dont think thats going to happen.LOL Hope everyone has had a great week. See you on the water God Bless Phil.4:13
