Water Temperature: 80
Water Clarity: 0

The lake level has held pretty good since the big rains of last week. We have fallen about an inch from the high point last week. The level is around 15.3 feet below full which is up a few feet but still much lower than we were at the first of September. The surface temps have settled in the upper 70's to low 80's and seems to be pretty consistent around the south end. The water is in a pre-turnover stage and is still a little stirred up from last weeks boating traffic. It is clearing nicely in some areas.

Fishing has been very good this week. I have been catching fish all over the depth ranges. This is very typical for pre-turnover. The fish are very scattered and the best structure right now is big balls of bait. They are out chasing and feeding pretty good. I have had some awesome catches this week and today was no exception. We had tons of good fish today with some magnums thrown in for good measure.

Fish are chasing big schools of herring and threadfins on the south end. They are chasing them on top but sub-surface lures are working best. Small swimbaits like the Sebile Magic Swimmer, Scrounger heads, lipless crankbaits and flukes. I am also getting some very good fish on dropshots on the lower end. The fish size has been a big improvement this week over the past few weeks. The bigger fish have moved up out of the timber in most areas and are very fat.

I have next Tuesday and Wednesday open. The weather is wonderful and the fishing is great. Lets get out

Thanks

Ryan
