Date Fished: 9/10/2008 Got out today in the afternoon but it was worth the wait. Although the bite was not as strong as the day before the big fish were hungry. Mostly fished for a bigger bite today hitting open water humps and deeper channels. The jig bite was just nasty "off the hook"(no pun intended)LOL! As the sun got to the trees I moved up with the fish and the topwater bite was just as good with almost every fish being a solid keeper. We did have a couple of those pesty little fish to boot but hey they were fun as well.LOL Anyway the best baits for us were the 3/4oz. jig, Jackall crosstail shad, Dagored and Mikey Sr.. All the hard baits were shad colors and the plastics were in greens and darker patterns. Hope everyone is having a great week. I will be on the water in the AM. See you on the water.
