Water Temperature: 80
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

We've been catching a good many of these chunks in the last few days.

It's hard to believe, but it's been 7 years to the day since the attack on the US. I was on Guntersville that morning also, and my client and I back then got off of the water as soon as we heard the news that morning. I did some looking back to those tragic moments today. May the Lord continue to bless and keep those who suffered such personal loss. May we all coninue to rise from the pain that was etched so deeply into our souls.

Conditions are always a factor, and this time of year it’s always something that is changing. The winds today blew from daylight to dark, and made my patterns and areas difficult to deal with. The wind never helps my bite, especially any wind with East in it. My first trip was with tournament customers. We purposely did not fish the areas I’ve been doing well in, and looked for some of the alternate locations. The guys today were looking for tournament fish for an event in a couple weeks, and they were kind enough to help me by not fishing the areas I have for the guys who are fishing this weekend. Fishing alternate areas we did manage to put a semi-decent tournament bag of fish in the boat (19+pounds), but we had to work for them. We did not boat a lot of keepers today.

I fished the last part of the day with good friend Dr Joe J. We were hoping for a good body count in a short 3-hour trip, but wound up losing a lot more fish than we boated. I think we boated only 7 fish, the bite was just not nearly as aggressive for us this evening.

I want to pass on some cabin information. Anyone wanting a good place to stay for less than 100 a night, visit lakesideloft.com It is on the water with a very nice boat house right in mid-lake (Mill Creek) just a few miles S of Water Front. Great place to stay.

Great fishing and God bless.
