Water Clarity: 1 foot

We fished a little tournament out of Howtons today. Only 9 boats. We had 6 ˝ pounds and it took less than 8 pounds to win. Big fish was less than 3 pounds. We caught our fish on spinner bait, frogs & crank bait. We caught a lot of fish as did everyone but no one caught any big fish. I did let LM around 3 pound come off that would of helped us get a check but that’s fishing. I thought I had a real good one up in the little river and had my partner get the net but after a few seconds I knew it was not a bass. It was a 3 foot mud fish and to make matters worse I had stuck my jig into his belly and you talk about a fight. I have caught a few mud fish over the last few years but not one that big. God blessed us with a good day and a safe trip…”Ain’t God Good” Preacher
