Water Clarity: 1 foot We had some challenging weather patterns by weeks end. Dropping water temperatures and higher than normal tides from strong northeast winds that caused some minor coastal flooding and created fishing opportunities in places not normally accessible by boats. Better fishing was to be found on shallow grass flats, feeder creeks and marsh areas than along the sharper dropping edges of grass lines and creek banks that had been the prime spots previously. Buzzbaits, grass frogs or spoons worked over grasses could result in some solid action from quality bass. Chatter Baits, Rattle Traps, spinnerbaits or plastic worms worked away from the thicker grass mats, where isolated clumps of vegetation could be found, also was productive.
