Water Clarity: 1 foot Water temperatures have fallen quickly from 72 degrees on Thursday to 63 degrees by Saturday morning. The shallow bass were affected more by the cool down than bass in deeper water. We found willing fish today in 5-12 feet of water, aggressively striking crawfish colored crankbaits worked around wood, and when it was necessary to slow down, brown/orange crawfish soft plastics and finesse worms continued to entice bites from larger than average bass. Warmer afternoon temperatures found bass moving shallow to the tops of creek ledges and outer grass edges and Strike King red eye lipless crankbaits in red/chartruese or blue/chrome resulted in solid stikes. Expect the crankbait bite to improve with declining temperatures and the jig and pig bite to really pick up.
