Water Clarity: 2-3 feet With water temperatures fluctuating with changing weather patterns and cold frosty nights causing some grass die offs we have been finding better bass in main river areas near deeper water and in the deeper creeks. Main river rocky points and those with wood cover produced some nice bass. We used both medium running and deep running crank baits in chrome or brown crawfish colors. Following up with a jig and plastic combo or the Mann’s Sting Ray grub, coated with Smelly Jelly fish attractant, also produced bass. The Mann’s grub was favored along creek ledges where yellow perch over one pound and some jumbo white perch were located along with bass. Grass beds continue to give up bass on white spinnerbaits or soft and hard jerk baits. The grasses have been better for us after a couple of days of warming conditions and some sun shine.
