Piedmont Bass Classics & Team Crappie Results March 20, 2010...Falls Lake~Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp

Team Bass Division Great day for fishing at Falls Lake! We had 27 teams for the team bass division and boy did they catch the fish. 20 teams weighed in a total of 66 bass weighing 249 pounds! 4 teams had the 5 fish limit. Temps went from 44 in the morning to about 70 at weigh in. Water temps were in the 60's and clarity was about 1 to 2 feet. Spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, medium running crankbaits, jigs & worm rigs were the preferred baits. Most fish were caught in 1 to 4 feet of water. The bass bite at Falls is great at this time! I want to thank all the anglers that participated. I really work hard to present you with a first class tournament and hope you will continue supporting the trail. I also want to thank Corey and Joe, from Castaway Fishing Supply in Smithfield, for furnishing the $250 gift certificate for the winning team. The winning team, however, included Joe from Castaway's, so like a true southern gentleman, he gave it to the 2nd place team! Nice Guy! Please support this fine sponsor because they definitely support us! I also want to thank Barry & Blake Kleinfelter and Lane Bullock for helping with the weigh in. The next tournament will be Saturday March 27th at Jordan Lake out of Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp. 1st place bonus prizes totaling $750 will be furnished by Farrell's Lakeside at Jordan Lake on Farrington Rd. and Carolina Air Conditioning in Durham.
