Piedmont Bass Classics & Team Crappie Results May 8, 2010...Falls Lake~Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp

Team Bass Division....

Falls Lake just keeps putting out good fish! Air temps from 66 to 90, water temps to 75+ degrees and winds from 10 to 20, gusting to 25!! 28 teams again showed up to challenge these conditions. 69 bass were weighed in totalling 235 lbs. in weight. Big fish was 8.39 lbs.! Bass were caught in shallow to 12 feet of water on everything from topwater to plastics. The fish were biting and it looks as if the spawn is over, however, a few bedding fish were still seen in the waters towards the dam.

This tournament was sponsored by 'KEEP'EM ALIVE' LIVEWELL ADDITIVE. One of our regular fishermen, Todd Sumner of Southern Pines, owns this company and gave an ample supply of his product plus $100 cash, to total $250 as a first place bonus. Todd, thanks so much for supporting our trail. Anglers, this is the best livewell additive available to keep your fish in tip-top shape during a tournament. Please purchase 'KEEP'EM ALIVE' and do your fish and our sponsor a favor! Ask for it at your favorite tackle store!

The next tournament will be at Falls on May 15th out of Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp and it will be sponsored by CASTAWAY FISHING SUPPLY in Smithfield, with $250 in gift certificates as a bonus 1st place prize.
