Date Fished: 5/31/2010

Water Temperature: 77
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Fished Harris several time since last report.

5/22: Mid afternoon during the rain the bite was pretty good. I fish top water pretty much the entire time (Chrome / Black Spook). A couple of nice ones, One at the upper end of the slot and another just over (barely...haha). I found the fish by accident actually. I was headed back into a main lake cove and had some loose line on the old bait caster so before I went it I made a few long casts at the point out in front, 2nd cast... bam. Really odd as the fish was a good 15 yards off the bank. It was still pretty shallow there but still unexpected.

5/27: Did some night fishing. 930pm until about 1am and caught nothing. Partner caught a 2 ft + Bowfin (ugly friggin thing) and that was all we did.

5/31: 530 - 900 pm Fish with a guy that I recently met (good dude). had one of the best numbers evenings I have had in a while. We put 10 in the boat but nothing to brad about as far as size. He caught the biggest one. We did not measure but it was a nice slot fish. Started in about 12 ft of water casting up to about 4 ft on a main lake point that was covered in that black slime grass. I hate that stuff but it was holding some fish. I was throwing a dropshot with a green pumpkin finesse worm which is about the only plastic rig I can keep out of that stuff. Bite was really good for me for about 1.5 hours then died a little as the wind picked up. Later he was doing well with a crank bait all in the same area. We moved to one other spot that had some sprig grass and he pulled a decent one on a paddle legged frog.

Water is pretty clear out there right now.

The pics are from the 5/22 rainy day trip
