Piedmont Bass Classics & Team Crappie Results June 12, 2010...Kerr Lake...Flemingtown Wildlife Ramp

Team Bass Division ~~ Results

Again ~~ Hot !! 12 teams showed up to fish. These anglers were again beat when they arrived back at the ramp at 3 pm. Air temps ranged from 72 to 95 during the day and water temps at Kerr were in the 80's. Participation was low due to 2 tournaments at Falls and Fisher's of Men at Gaston. However, 43 bass were brought to the scales totalling 87 pounds! Crankbaits, top water, jigs, spinnerbaits and plastics, all were used to catch the bass. The hot pattern for the day was flipping boat docks with wacky worms and jigs. It's a shame to see Kerr not putting out quality bass like it did 30 years ago. A lot of the dinks weighed in, looked to be very poor in weight for length ratio. I know that Kerr has a lot of bigger fish, but would someone please explain why they are not being caught. This event was sponsored by Piedmont Bass Classics with a $250 gift pack as a 1st place bonus.

Now here are the results:

1st Place: Dale & Brian Ellis of Bahama & Timberlake...5 fish...13.69 lbs...$624 & bonus. 2nd Place: Mark Herndon & Jaye Garrard of Bahama & Durham...5 fish...11.68 lbs.

Big Fish Award went to 1st Place Team above...4.72 lbs...$120

TWT 1st: 2nd Place Team above...11.68 lbs...$98 TWT 2nd: Billy Bledsoe & Henry Thomason of Fayetteville...9.07 lbs...$53

The father/son team of Dale & Brian Ellis walked away with $994 in cash and prizes! Good job guys!

Team Crappie Division ~~ No entries

The next tournament is on Falls Lake out of Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp, June 19th. Sponsorship is pending.

Thanks again for making this a great trail! Hope to see everyone at Falls on June 19th!

Tight Lines and Air Conditioning! Phil
