Piedmont Bass Classics Jordan Lake Open Results

July 17, 2010...Jordan Lake...Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp

Team Bass Results:

Jordan Lake put a whooping on the anglers this time! It was windy from the time we got there and this caused a lot of problems with the deep water structure fishing. You just couldn't hardly stay on a spot! Then we had a little thunderstorm to add to the misery. Air temps from 73 to 93. Water temps 85 to 93. We had 12 teams show up for the 2nd in a series of 6 open tournaments at Jordan. Only 21 bass were weighed in for a total weight of 75 pounds. Crankbaits, jigs and worm rigs (c-rigs) seemed to be the choice for the day.

It was great to see some of the previous NBC fishermen there, again. It was great to have ya'll and I welcome you to come fish with us again.

Now here are the results....

1st Place: Scott Gatten & Jamie Baynard of Cary & Clayton...5 fish...16.02 lbs...$625 2nd Place: Ken Wall & Ben Cannon of Asheboro & Apex...5 fish...14.87 lbs...$335

Big Fish Award: Tim Emory & Tim Parker of Creedmoor & Pittsboro...8.34 lbs...$120

TWT 1st: 2nd Place Team above...14.87 lbs...$162.50 TWT 2nd: Mike Hodge & Tim Wall of Clayton...14.44 lbs...$87.50

Next tournament will be at Falls Lake (Regular Tournament Trail Event)...July 24th out of Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp, safe light to 2pm.

All the info on the tournaments can be found at: www.piedmontbassclassics.com or call me at 919-471-1571

Hope to see all of you there! Stay cool! Phil.....Call Carolina A/C if you have any AC problems!
