Date Fished: 6/14/2011 We have experienced good bass fishing this week by varying the patterns with the tides. On the high end of the tide we have been concentrating on wood cover and marsh banks along the main river and at the mouths of creeks. Successful baits have been Chatterbaits, Mann’s Baby -1 Minus and spinner baits worked against the wood or tight against the bank. On the low end of the tide we look for wild celery beds and work the perimeter of the beds or open channels between the beds and use Chatterbaits and spinner baits. Strikes have been hard around the grasses with many bass hitting the baits as soon as it hit’s the edge of the grass. Marina’s with some grass around the pilings also produce when fished with Chatterbaits or a Strike King Rage Tail Craw baits rigged Texas style.
