Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

I got out again tonight from 4:15 pm till 7:15 and caught eight bass. I went straight to the point I caught the five yesterday and started with a Fat Free Shad and caught a 2-6. Then I tryed the A-Jig and Wooly Hawgtail and caught a 2-1. No more bites so I tried the Yum Ribbontail worm and caught a 3-6. I caught all these on the very end of the point in 10 ft of water. They were on the last contour line of the point with scattered hydrilla. This is the same place on the point they were yesterday.

I could not get any more bites so I moved to another underwater grass point that is close by. I caught five bass here, all on the Booyah A-Jig and Yum Wooly Hawgtail. These weighted 1-15 to 2-8. They were in 8-9 ft. of water and hydrilla.

Tonight and three or four times in the past week I have lifted up on the jig and it was slack line. I reeled the handle another time and lifted, and still slack line. I quickly cranked the handle 2-3 cranks and set the hook. Everytime I did this, I stuck a bass. When the line is hanging over a lot of grass, it softens the bite, even with flourocarbon. The bass were sucking it in and moving right at me without me feeling them. So when you lift up on your bait and feel slack line crank the reel handle 2-3 times and set the hook. More often than not it it will result in a bass. Good Luck!!
