On Saturday, I went to Old Hickory Lake to be a boater for an annual kids fishing tournament! It was a great event, as there were nearly 50 youth anglers. I started my youth angler out throwing a chug bug and Bill Norman Little N crankbait on a rocky point. Almost immediately, a 3lber slammed his topwater and swam straight into the grass. Before we could get to the fish, the fish won the fight and got away! My little buddy lost a couple more keepers on top. The action began to slow, but a large school of white bass began surfacing behind us and we decided to chase after them and have a blast. Weigh-in started at 10:15am and my youth angler did not have a fish to weigh-in. We decided to go back out on the water and find him a Old Hickory bass! We returned to the rocky point that we had started on in the morning. In the next 15 minutes, we caught 8 bass with one of them being a 5 lber! All of the fish we caught during "round 2" fell for a green pumpkin jig-n-pig. It was a great finish to a fun day; I was very happy to finally have the youth angler catch fish during his first time on a boat!

I offer bass fishing instructional training trips on Percy Priest Lake. I am not a guide, but I have a passion for learning and teaching as much as possible on the water. I do my best to grow the sport of fishing through teaching kids and adults from my experiences on the water. I have had the opportunity of fishing tournaments on many lakes and rivers throughout the country. I have lived near deep, clear lakes and I have lived by shallow, power fishing lakes. Being versatile is one of my greatest weapons on the water! When I am off the water, I help manage Pete Gluszek and Mike Iaconelli's The Bass University seminar series, On-Water Training, and BU TV. I love what I do and I am fortunate to work with the many of the greatest pros in the world. I would love an opportunity to help you become a better angler!
