Went up to the Pend Oreille River to pre-fish for a tournament to day and had the best day of fishing that I can remember. I caught big fish most of the day but I had a period of about an hour that was incredible. My best fish was an 8-12,I caught one about 7lbs. and four that were over 5lbs, also caught a few in the 2-4lb. range all in about an hour. I don't really know what was going on with them but I liked it. I've never seen so many big fish in one area at one time, hope they hold up for the tournament though. I caught most of the fish on snakebite Mega-curls and a rig that I make I call a slider and grub. Also had a good spinnerbait bite for the smaller fish. If you fish up there please practice catch and release, there are not that many bass in the system and it takes them a long time to grow.
