Date Fished: 7/1/1999
Fished the south end and the whites, smallmouth, and largemouth were in shallow with some schooling whites early on the brushy points. The fish are chasing the new shad hatch that are about one/half inch long. Small baits working best like 1/4 oz rattle trap and baby torpedo in clear. The fish will only look at small baits or live bait. For more info on elephant butte lake go to www.bucketmouth.com.
