Date Fished: 7/25/1999
Spent several days camping at Washburn. With the exception of a couple of fronts that moved through with t-storms, high wind and rain, the weather was sunny and HOT! Water temps varied from 70 to 80 in the shallower water. Found some fish in Sand Cut, but not very active. Also caught fish in deeper water (12-15') with weeds further to the west along Long Island. Primarily used crankbaits (risto raps in deeper water, wiggle warts in the shallows) and spinnerbaits. The sun was brutal and we spent more time visiting the islands than fishing this time. jdc
