Looking for information. Our small club, from the west suburbs of Chicago, is having it's husband and wife tournament on Saturday August 28th and I have never been on the lake before. I have heard that the water is pretty low. Is boating a problem heading north into the river? And, as long as I follow the bouys, can I run all the way up to the water intake for Lake Columbia? What is the water clarity like? How about current in the river and the lake? Any good largemouth or smallmouth spots and/or baits you wouldn't mind sharing? There is no money at stake in this tournament, just for fun. I would just like my normally non-fishing wife to enjoy her day on the water. Any information would be greatly appreciated. My e-mail is jeff.wolfe@platinum.com or days (800) 526-9096 x11442 or anytime (630) 235-2822. -Jeff Wolfe
