Went to the Swift River this past weekend. Boy was that disapointing, Didn't even see any fish. The river was still above the route 9
bridge all the way up to the Y pool. Soot build up on the bottom above the route 9 bridge. It looked very stagnate and when me and
my father walked in the river the bottom was very mucky. Was there in Aug. last year and there were more trout in that river than I'd
ever imagined could be.... Went below the route 9 bridge afterwards, towards the hatchery and still no fish, but the river was moving
alot faster after the hatchery pipe. Can't wait till stocking occurs not to say there isn't a trout or two in there somewhere. Does any one
know when the stocking begins? is it March or April?
