Date Fished: 5/6/2000
Water Temperature: 65
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

I fished the Fiesta 500 tournament this weekend and kicked butt with my partner, George, on the first day. We had the heaviest stringer and the big bass of the first day weighing 9.89 lbs. We caught most all our fish on tubes in 1-4 feet of water around brush, no bed fish were intentionally caught. There were several different patterns working for other teams, soft and hard jerkbaits, buzzbaits early. We only managed one 14 inch smallie the second day split shotting. It took 29+ lbs to win and 21 lbs. to get in the money.
