Water Clarity: 1 foot Had a club tournament on Saturday and my partner won with 7 keepers
and a big bass of 18". The wind blew 20-35 all day and we hid as long as we could in 2 coves, had 3 keepers all on plastic and that
was that until about 1:30... then 4 keepers and the 18" in about a
1/2 hour. Many crappie guys in coves were polite and let us pass.
Another club was there and they had a 6-11" big bass said to be on a
spinnerbait but that's an untruth for I saw him get it...I will not give bait and location but I will say it was NOT a spinnerbait.
Our club had a rough day 4 guys not having a fish..I feel the fish
are mostly done spawning and defending nests with females ready to go
in about 10 days or near a new moon. Our fish came off 1 foot of water but a splash and you were done-be gentle and good luck..coachwood -another open sat-5-20 at 12-mile the #1 tournament
fished lake in Ia so get'em and our tournament was on paper so I think
all fish were released alive
