Water Clarity: 2-3 feet For last three weekends, have fished Santa Rosa for one day. All three weekends, have torn up the walleyes, smallmouths and crappie, (called sac-a-lait back home). Found eyes in mainly 10' of water on some flats, mostly males.Smallmouths on the wind blown banks. Sac-a-lait were located in 4-12 feet of water in protected coves. This past sunday, 3 of us kept our limits of walleyes, 1 1/2 -4 lbs. released 30-40 walleyes and any with eggs. Also on sunday we kept 30 sac-a-lait
in the 1-2 lb range, releasing 18-20 . Smallmouths were released, 10-14 fish, mostly 1 - 2 lbs. Had a very good enjoyable day on the lake. Walleyes were hitting bottom jigs w\tipped with chartruse grubs, smallies on 1/4 chrome rat'l traps, crappie on Cabela's live eye minnows on small jigs. Even caught a 4 lb channel cat on a jig.
