  Subject: Angostura, South Dakota

Submitted by Darren England (ip 206.31.204.23)

Date Fished: 5/25/2000
Water Temperature: 67
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

This was one of the best days of fishing that I have ever had. We fished a full day and boated and released way over 100 fish. When the water temp rises to about 65 to 70 the smallmouth bass just can't stay away from that top water plug. Most fish were caught off main lake points that had rock or some type of structure in about 6 to 10 feet of water. We tried about every bait we had but the top water plugs worked the best and was the most fun. If you have a chance to get out to Angostura, do it now, this bite won't last long.
