The smallmouth are bitting! I've gone to the river twice and landed some nice bass. They prefer worms difting. Eves seems to be the best time to try for them. The smolts are all most gome so you don't have fight them on your hook. I found crayfish in the belly of these fish so that might be a good bait to use. Had alot of fun with these fish. Spinners didn't produce many fish a few bits on a white twister. By the way, largemouths are doing good at Manns Lake just 3mls east of Lewiston. They are slamming the salmon on the Clearwater right now.
