The Bayou State Couples held their June Tournament at Butte Larose Landing, Henderson. We had fifteen couples show up to what turned out to be a very crowded day on the water. Most of the members agreed that it was the most boats they had ever seen on any water way at one time. Fishing turned out to be tough to say the least. Even with all the competition and boat traffic Shane & Alyson Edwards took first place with three fish that weighed 5.58lbs. Second place went to Toby & Annette Leon who had two fish that weighed 3.84lbs. James & Sharlet Edwards took third place with two fish that weighed 3.731lbs. Men's big bass went to Shane Edwards with 2.53lb bass and ladies big bass went to Stacey Lombard with a 3.15lb bass.
A total of 12 bass were caught with an average weight of 1.94lbs. Fish were reported caught early on Frogs and Lunker Lures and once the sun came on Brush Hogs.
