  Subject: Goldsboro/Fort Hunter, Pennsylvania

Submitted by Pat (ip 199.228.142.8)

Date Fished: 6/12/2000
Water Temperature: 70s
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Fished both Sunday (Fort Hunter) and Monday (Goldsboro) on the Susquehanna and had good days on both trips. On Sunday we launched around 2pm and fished til dark and wound up nailing about 50+ smallies all on white 1/4oz spinnerbaits, 3.5" tubes and Pop-R's. Most fish are coming from the center of the river, and are caught by dropping baits in the pockets created by the ledges. Biggest fish on Sunday was 16.5", with one other going about 15.5", and many more between 10-14". On Monday we stayed in the pool at Goldsboro and the numbers were a little lower with around 15-20 fish total. All of the fish came on the tube with the exception of a small walleye I caught on a fin-s-fish. Fishing Creek and Goodling Island were the best areas. The biggest fish was about 15.5", with most around 12". Tight Lines!
