Fished Wolf Creek on Friday, Lake is very low, and you need to be take care at the boat ramp. (Water at ramp is less than two feet deep). However all kinds of boats got in and without problems, just keep big motor up high. Water temps ranged from mid-forties main lake to around 75 in the warm water discharge. We fished the cold water most of the day, (Warm water was wall to wall boats). We caught four smallies early, biggest was 17 inches, They came on orange colored rogues and downdeep Rapalas. The smallies were off the bank in about 9 to 12 feet of water. We got into the blacks later in the morning and caught 21 fish, the best were in the mid 17 inch range, but only landed two fish under 15. The blacks were despite the 45 deg water, in 4 feet or less of water. We got them on orange rouges, and bright orange bandit 300 cranks, off rock points or outcropings, along the riprap banks. Late in the day we headed into the warm water. Discharge fisherman had been landing whites/hybrids, all day with a lot of fish over three pounds, and a few largemouths, mostly on rattletraps, popers, baby 1s, and fat raps. We landed four blacks, two over 17 inches, on baby 1's and rogues. Fishing is pretty good dispite the cold weather. Be aware the lake is closed anytime the wind blows over 20 miles per hour. We lost over an hours fishing time due to a 21 mile an hour wind reading at the guard shack. However the wind dropped down and we were allowed to fish until sunset. Good Fishin!.
