Water Temperature: 50
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

Lake Powell continues to be an excellent Striper fishery. The warm water species have slowed down but the winter fishing is still very good for Stripers. 3 fishermen took 26 fish in a morning outing on Dec. 12. They are hitting on spoons and anchovies. Most fish are between 1 - 3 pounds. They are in a healthy cycle and should develop into 3 - 6 pounders by the time the shad grow. Next fall should be great fishing, but the spring spawning runs should be excellent. The big females move up in early may!
