Water Clarity: 1 foot Fished Decker yesterday with so-so results. Broke the boat off of my iced up trailer and put in, headed to the dam immediately because I thought that the rocks would have warmed the water somewhat the day before and the fish would be more active, caught 2, 1 bass and 1 channel cat on red craw bomber 6-a. Then I went to the discharge and tied on a spinnerbait, white Stanley 3/8 oz w/ Chart trailer. Caught 4 on it in the points adjacent to the mouth of the discharge. Entered the channel in the discharge and got right up next to the bank and saw about a five pounder laying in a bush. I tied up in the vicinity and showed her a new jig I had gotten at our Academy fishing seminar in Houston. After about 7 pitches she grabbed it by the trailer and dropped it, next time was the ticket I set the hook and my line broke, so much for that. I then picked up a Carolina rig w/ 3 1/2 inch Bacon rind and a watermelon trick worm and hammered them, All fish about 2-3 lbs. Finnaly got tired of that and found some reeds and again tied on that new jig and caught about 4 more on it and called it a day.
