  Subject: Whitewater River, Missouri

Submitted by Matt Stohldrier (ip 150.201.20.131)

Date Fished: 3/25/2001
Water Temperature: ?
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

Fished the Whitewater river for about four hours this morning. Used hand-tied bucktail jigs w/ orange and chartruse heads, and plain jigs tipped w/ minnows. Caught four smallmouth, one went 14", two whitebass about 12", and three small largemouths. Fish were holding near bottom in 8-15' of water just out of main channel. Still wondering why I haven't picked up any walleyes, but they'll come.
