Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Excellent smallmouth bite on the boulder and adjacent waters of Whitlock Bay west of Gettysburg SD. Fish ranging from 2-4.5 lbs were weighed and released, many still heavy in the prespawn condition. Minnows, Rattlin' Shad, Thin Fin, and natural colored jerk baits created the best strike response. The deepest fish were in 16 feet and the shallowest were right up on the rocks. Best bites were during the early morning and late evening and during the days of heaviest overcast.
Excellent walleye fishing too.
