Subject: Union Falls / Skelton Dam - Saco River, Maine Submitted by Bc (ip 63.52.85.251)
Date Fished: 6/9/2001 Good news first, then the bad news. With a crew of 2 kids, and 2 adults, we caught 5 nice smallmouths behind the island on white spinnerbait, mepps #2 spinners, and a gold rapala. It wasn't a bad outting considering these were the first fish caught by the 7 and 9 year olds on artificial baits. When we got back to the launch by the Skelton dam, some (expletive deleted) stuck a knife in my trailer tire and I didn't have a spare (it's a weird size and is on order, my luck). Anyway... Unfortunately, you have to be careful by that launch as the element there seems to be degrading to criminal acts. Luckily no further damage was done to the boat after I took off most of the things that weren't nailed down. Sorry to have to make this my first report, I just thought it was important to warn the troops to be careful at the Skelton dam parking lot. BC-out.
