Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Got out at 6 this morning and fished until around 12pm. Me, James, and Julian all hopped in to the boat and went down to Andersonville Island where I had found some schooling largemouth and striper on a previous trip. As I was letting down the trolling motor at 6:15 the lake turned over and yes I mean with fish. Immediately Julian hooked up with a nice 4 pound striper on a Sammy, I then threw my deep little N out behind the striper he was bringing in and that is when a 20" largemouth annihalated my gellcoat. We caught several more schoolies with a striper and largemouth mixed bag but as soon as the sun peaked good the fun was over.
At 8am we headed up to 6 and 20 creek to do a little spinnerbait and jig fishing around brushy docks. I was flipping a Bass Stalker and Julian and James were using a M & N jig. Needless to say I caught 3 to their 1 on the bass stalker. Fish were inactive and I could not get them to chase a bushwhacker or buzzbait much.
I had something strange happen to me today. I was in progress flippin a row of docks that had yielded nice bass in the past and I flipped the dark pumpkin Bass Stalker in next to the back of the dock. When I engaged the reel I couldn't feel my jig, much like I had cut my line on something. I cranked the handle hard a few times in mast confusion only to find out that a bass had gotten my jig and ran under my boat and out to deep water in that short of time.. go figure--$$Bassmare$$
