Water Clarity: 0 Launched upriver at Cumbest Bluff, fishing with John D. for the first time in months. The river and lakes had a strong falling currant due to local rains with a lot of water running out of the swamps. Fished some backwater areas that produced fish 2 weeks ago with limited success this time. Fished several spots in the river itself with only a couple of hits and no fish. Worms and spinnerbaits caught all the fish with no luck on cranks or topwater. The fish seemed to be scattered due to water flow with some being on Cypress trees ond others in deeper(8-10ft) cuts running between trees. We managed to fool 12 small fish about 1 lb. each into biting and had a enjoyable day on the water. Just remember, it beats last year by a long ways. Thank the good Lord for the rains!
