Date Fished: 8/15/2001 One word: nightcrawlers Fished in early morning 6AM-9AM close to shore, only wading and off the rock jetties and dock Striped bass are out in force, usually 5-10 feet down. If you get one, keep casting in same spot for more...there will always be more. Generally small, but good sized for striped bass. Bluegills seemed to be around 10 feet from shore in shallow water. Same thing as with striped, just keep hitting the same spot where you caught one. Very good sized bluegills here. Largemouth seem to be harder to get a hold of. Only caught 3; 3 incher (how he got that worm in his mouth I don't know), 8 incher, and a 15incher. Caught while fishing for the bluegills. I know there are bigger ones out there because it was an extremely calm morning on the lake (very unusual for 12mile) and every minute i could see a big largemouth jumping out of the water all over the lake.
