Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater What a gorgeous lake! I specifically wanted to try for the 10+lb Rainbows that cruise down deep. In the process of digging the downriggers out I was flipping in the reeds with a pumpkinseed Berkely power craw. It was definitely on the menu. 3 Largemouths at 2.1, 2.9 and 3.5lbs. Started to troll for bows with a cd 7 in silver/black. Pinged the critters holding at 40'. Dropped down to 35' and trolled at 2mph. I took all of about 100' before the Ugly Stick snapped out of the release, fish on!. Nice huge but a nice bow at 4.5lbs. Continued in the same fashion but with a cd7 in perch. That was the ticket. Bill picked up another beauty at 8.1 lbs. Total for the 2.5 hours was 3 bows, 2 northerns (snakes) at 4.1 and 4.9lbs and the 3 bass. This is a very different lake to fish. Deep cold water.
