  Subject: Lake Austin,

Submitted by Hard Head Jenkins (ip 17.104.171.17)

Date Fished: 8/22/2001
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Fished Austin last night from 7pm till around 10pm caught 2 bass in the 2 pnd range using a white spinnerbait with a white trailer. Caught them on the reeds close to the hula hut docks. My buddy also slammed my trolling motor mount down on my trolling motor cable because he couldnt see, he cut our fishing short. I have a foot control Minn Kota and it cut the cable has this happened to anyone else ? Can I just splice the cables back together ? That is my plan right now. Anyway windy as hell and lots of boats even till 10:00. I think Ill stay on Decker in the afternoons, and fish Austin in the mornings until it starts cooling off. Good luck to everyone.
