Submitted by HuskerBasser

Date Fished: 8/21/2001
Water Clarity: 1 foot

Put in at Tommy's around 5:30 pm and fished up-river until dark. First couple of back-water spots yielded NADA, but finally found a few biters along a steep back with some fallen trees. Used a 3/4 oz black/blue jig and pig; boated one 12", had a couple of other good bites but couldn't hook up. This may not sound like much, but after having been skunked the last several times out on Barnett, it was sure good to feel that familiar TAP, TAP, TAP on the end of the rod. Water was pretty muddy, bites were very tight under and around cover.
