Subject: Saugatucket Pond, Rhode Island

Water Clarity: 1 foot I was fly fishing from a canoe under windy conditions at about two in the afternoon. Used poppers and caught four bass (three largemouths and a smallmouth) biggest was about 14 inches. Had a ton of surface strikes from small bass. I fished for about an hour but had to return my friend's canoe. Now I am looking for places to fish from the bank or areas that are good for wading. I am originally from vermont and am only down in Rhode Island for school, and unfortunately I only have my flyrod (so need a little room around he dges of the lake...if you catch my drift). Any ideas for good wading ponds/lakes/rivers where I could land a few nice bass? Thanks, greg
