Fished in a kayak again today with a buddy from Rockville, MD. He spent the night at my house Tue night so we could get on the water at daylight. We started at 7 am and finished at 3:30 pm. We fished all day at Marysville.

Water temp was 60 and visibility was over 5 feet. What a good day!

I caught 34 smallies, with lunker of the day at 16 inches. Jeff caught 38 smallies with his biggest at 15 1/2. We were hoping for some larger fish but it was a great day!

We caught all but one of our fish on tubes, the other fish came on a black/gold Rapala Husky Jerk. I used motor oil/purple flake tubes for most of my fish but also used watermelon/red flake and smoke/purple and copper. The motor oil/purple flake tube caught 31 of my fish.

Fish were not stacked up at all. Once we caught 2 or 3 fish froma ledge, we'd moce to find more fish. We caught all of our fish behind ledges in 2 to 5 feet of water. They wanted a slower presentation today, just bouncing it along the bottom.

I think I am really liking fihsing from a kayak. We fished water the would be too hard to get to any other way.
