Date Fished: 4/19/2002 Water level right at full pool, water temp running 64-68 on the main lake, 70-76 in the creeks, clear on the lower end. Fishing over the past week has been up and down, some days its fairly easy to catch 10-12 fish a day and then the next we struggle to catch 5-8. We are still concentrating on creeks and pockets on the lower end(south of Katie Bridge), working the 6' depth all the way up to the bank. The fish are moving in and out daily, you have got a few fish bedding but not many, most are already done or waiting there turn. We are catching mostly buck bass right now with an occasional female mixed in, I expect to see more females move back in around the full moon at the end of the month. Best baits over the last week have been 3" tx rigged tubes (white/watermelon chartreuse) 4" tx rigged lizard, Lil Shad (fluke) by Big Bag Baits (watermelon/white) or a 4" tube (white) fished like a soft jerk bait. Make sure and soak all baits with a good attractant like Kick N' Bass some of the fish will pick the bait up and spit it faster than you can blink an eye, so you need all the edge you can get.
