Well, I went to Ray Bob on Saturday. Fished from about 5:45 till 1pm. I managed 4 largemouths, lost 2, and caught a few sandies. The biggest largemouth was about 3 lbs. I caught them on spinner baits and buzzbaits over shallow grass. I haven't gotten into those 20-bass days like I've been hearing about. I guess I am on the wrong pattern.

I do have a bit of a gripe, though. I was anchored down in a pocket about 1/2 way back in on of the major coves south of Wolf Island at 6am, when two boats come in on full plane and kill it about 60 feet from me. I was trying to "pick-apart" a spot with flukes, spinners, etc., and these guys pull up almost within casting distance of me and start banging around getting rods together, etc. In constrast, when I came in to the spot, there was already someone on the north end of the cove working a point. I turned my motor off about 70 --yards-- away from him (after idling some), and started trolling in with my trolling motor to the next spot. I gave him at least 70 yards before I started working the area I wanted to fish. Do people forget that fish hear that big motor WAY better than we do, considering the exhaust comes out in the water, and the water serves as the muffler? Folks, have a little courtesy when you are fishing. Don't turn Ray Bob into another Fork where people are so rude that it ruins the time you are on the lake.

What's interesting is after those guys fished down the cove, I came in behind them about 30 minutes later and picked up two nice 3lber's after they went through without a fish.
