  Subject: Yatesville Lake, Kentucky

Submitted by Sam Peters (ip 67.211.90.29)

Date Fished: 5/15/2002
Water Temperature: 65
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

I went to Yatesville for the first time this year. We got a late start but, fished from noon till 2pm. I only got one hit but it was a 20 inch Largemouth. I didn't have a scale with me, but estimated it to be over 4 1/2 pounds. The fish was caught on a 1/2 oz. chartreuse and black jig w/ a pork trailer. The fish was taken in about 12 ft. of water in some downed timber. It's still out there, I released it. This was mainly a shakedown of my boat, but thought I'd fish a bit while I was out. Not a dissappointing trip for just two hours.
