Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Went out today to try out my newly purchased LCX16ci and man is it sweet! I could see good bottom picture and structure running at 36mph. Can't do that with my SiTex unit. You can see individual limbs on trees, very well defined. And I could see fish moving between the limbs (at least I think it was fish). Did this while sitting still rigging tackle.
Fishing report. Trolled 7 colors with a 2oz green/white chipmonk with a large Mogambo trailer. I've switched to 15lb spiderwire for leader so I can spool the full reel of leadcore and still have about 50yds of 30 mono backing on my reels. The spiderwire becomes virtually invisible in the green water. Trolled Shoal Creek from Lanier Harbor to the dam and back, then up to the PineIsle Bridge. Marked fish on the hump at entrance to Lanier Harbor, 7 colors later, had an 8lb'er on. Two ladies on waverunners almost ran over the surfacing fish. Crazy. Got another one on the next pass over the hump. Watched a great sunset and headed home. Nice evening.
