Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Club get-togethter at castaic. Overcast weather when we hit the lake. It was great and the shad were up on top in the coves with the bass busting all around. The ticket was using a small 3" salt/pepper grub with silver flake on a small 1/8oz darter head on spinning tackle. Make cast beyond boil, swim thru it and hold on. When sun started peeking thru the clouds, shad went deep. Drop shotting 4" roboworms also worked. My friend gave me one of the worms he was using but i don't know the name of the color. Its a light brown worm with red flake and a grey belly. Air temp was 41 degrees with a slight breeze from the southwest. Started raining at 2:00pm. Make sure u have good raingear ready.
