Submitted by Thomas (ip 205.188.208.7)

Date Fished: 1/19/2003
Water Temperature: 48.
Water Clarity: 1 foot

Water was stained with an apparent algae bloom. Stripers were being caught all over the lake with a few catfish thrown in on live bait. The black bass didn't bite at all for me and my partner. We tried tubes, drop shots, jigging spoons, plastic worms, cranks and suspending jerkbaits with no success. Fished as deep as 45ft on main lake points and as shallow as 3ft in the coves. Weather was great and was able to fish in a t-shirt. Water clarity was at best 1.5 to 2ft. I personally have not seen the lake that stained all over.
