Water Clarity: 1 foot went to the Mississippi River wed. with a buddy started fishing a jig-n-pig on rock banks with deep water near by thinking some fish might move up with the temps in the 70s water temp was 57 at that spot. After not getting bit five times down the bank,time to change game plan. We went to a big bay not far from the first spot to look at some water temps as luck would have it we found warmer water. The wind was coming out of the east and we entered the bay on the east side and found 50 degree water. so we went right over to west side, the wind blown side,and found 55 degree water I asked my buddy if he had a spinnerbait and he said he had one, luckly i had a boat full. we tied our baits on and started chunkin, and thats the start to the best day I have ever had on the water.In three hours we boated 75 bass,(no lie)at first all we caught we small males,it did not take us long to find the females, we never caught a real big fish but the majority were betwen 15 and 17 inches and chuck full of eggs. they were all in 1 to 2 feet of water and not right on the bank. Hope someone can put this info to use and go out and catch a few. belive me IT IS NOT TO COLD.
